While this unit does work, it isn't perfect. The projector will power on, light its lamp, and run properly. Upon the first attempt to start cold, however, it may sometimes shut off in several seconds with a slow blinking red status light. Subsequent attempts are successful, however, and it will remain running indefinitely. Once started, the image is a bit dim on the current lamp (which has over 1500 hours accrued) and vertical "banding" artifacts are visible on the right edge and left edge (although they are much more pronounced on the former; see sample picture). The included remote worked the last time it was used. There is no corrosion in the battery compartment.
